The Wavepiston Passive Control (WAPPAC) Competition is now live!

We’re excited to announce that the WAPPAC Competition, organized by Maynooth University’s Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) has officially launched!

The competition challenges the wave energy control community to design passive control strategies that optimize the performance of the Wavepiston device across a range of sea states — using the official Wavepiston Simulation Tool (WP-Sim-Tool) provided by the organizers.

This is a unique opportunity for researchers, PhD students, and engineers to put their wave energy control expertise to the test in a standardized, performance-driven environment.
